What is Child Dedication?
Child Dedication is a spiritually significant milestone for your whole family.
It’s a special event where you can invite family and friends, as parents commit to raising their children to follow Jesus. It's an acknowledgment that our kids are God's kids, and we want to help fulfill His wonderful plans for their lives.

That’s your decision. You can dedicate your child whether they’re three days old or 13 years old. The age doesn’t matter as much as the principle. Child dedication is an important step in your family’s faith life because it sets a foundation that your family will be known for following Jesus.

Child Dedication is not the same as infant baptism.
We believe that baptism is a public declaration of an individual’s decision to follow Jesus. Since infants aren’t capable of making that decision, we hold off baptism for a time when a person is old enough to understand the decision to make Jesus the forgiver and leader of their life.

Child Dedication is a way to celebrate that your child is a gift from God and to publicly commit to raising them to know and follow Him.
It is not the same as baptism and it doesn’t bring salvation to a child, but is a spiritual commitment made by the parents that is rooted in Scripture.

After you register your child for an upcoming Child Dedication, we will invite you to an online orientation where we will share the details of the event and answer any questions.
Child Dedication consists of 2 parts:
Child Dedication family event.
A special event for you and your guests where you publicly commit to raising your child to know and follow God.
Commitment during a church service.
A time for your church family to pray for your family and commit to supporting you in your journey of raising your child to know and follow God.
